Pickleball players take the court for clean water at Dink for Water
Water (W4W) Philippines brought its clean water advocacy to the pickleball court on August 31, 2026 as players gathered at Thirsty Pickle for Dink for Water, a morning of open play where every registration goes directly to the funding of clean water access in vulnerable communities.
The session ran from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Entry was ₱350 per player and included free drinking water on-site. All proceeds went to W4W. Slots were booked through the Onda Fit app.
Dink for Water applies a simple idea that sits at the center of W4W Philippines’ public giving work in the Philippines. Through Pilipinas4Water, its flagship giving initiative, the organization turns everyday purchases into micro-donations, building a funding stream for clean water access and disaster response without asking the public to change how they already spend. Dink for Water extends that thinking from what people buy to what people already do on a Sunday morning.

Onda Fit came in as the supporting entity behind the activation. The pickleball platform handled the player registration, court coordination, and community mobilization, using its existing booking infrastructure to make joining a cause as frictionless as booking a regular game. The arrangement lets W4W Philippines reach an active, organized community without building an events operation to do it.

Joining the morning session was Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, official ambassador of W4W Philippines. In her capacity as an ambassador for the organization, Catriona has taken part in field missions on the ground, including clean water missions in Siquijor and Cebu that provided filtration systems and hygiene facilities in remote communities.
